STATEMENT

My art work stems from a private place where a combination of emotion, sensation, and intuition rule. My work has evolved steadily over the past thirty years to where I am today, concentrating on meditative themes from nature.

 

RESUME

My work was first exhibited in 1977 in the Brooklyn Museum, a juried exhibiton. Since then, I've exhibited in twenty solo shows and over one hundred group shows in the NYC metropolitan area, nationally and internationally.  I've been awarded seven NYSCA grants, one NYC Public Artworks grant and in 1991, was honored for Womens' History Month by the Nat'l Oganization of Italian American Women.  My art is in public, private, corporate and university collections, and most recently can be found in the NYC Medical Examiners' Offices. I also am a curator, lecturer and adjunct Associate Professor of Art in the CUNY system and St John's University. I recieved my Masters in Fine Art in 1975.
